Crystal DeJaegher, Learning Designer
When “cool" kids from the 1980’s were participating in summer cheerleading and sports camps, Crystal went to coding camp (and she owns it).
Although her interest in coding has faded, the strong influence of technology, teaching, and learning remain—she has been endearingly referred to as the “Office Wiki”. Whether teaching in local urban secondary schools, developing sales training for the nation’s largest domestic brewer,or serving as a graduate instructor at the University of Virginia, Crystal has been actively involved in the design, development, and delivery of instruction at many levels for a wide variety of audiences. As a digital learning designer, Crystal works primarily with our esteemed faculty and staff across campus to plan, develop, and publish online instruction. She also collaborates with groups and organizations across campus on research projects related to digital education and the learning sciences.
When she’s not working beneath the golden dome, she can be found at home with her husband and two cats, playing or watching sports (GO IRISH!), or enjoying life outdoors.
