Sonia Howell, Digital Content and Communications Producer
As Digital Content producer, Sonia works with faculty, learning designers, and the ODL media team in the production of multimedia educational assets, especially video; this includes collaborative involvement in creative treatment conversations, script supervision, on-set video production support during filming, and at times the creation and collection of course materials and graphics.
Sonia partners with the ODL design and media teams to plan and generate content for the office, including graphics, videos, posters/flyers, and written prose. She plays a key role in telling the stories of innovative projects and successful partnerships with other departments both in print and visual materials and in-person interactions.
As the longest serving member of the ODL, Sonia has invested significant time and energy building relationships with faculty, departments, and offices across campus in the effort to promote and foster innovation in teaching and learning at Notre Dame.
Prior to her current role, Sonia served as the program producer for Notre Dame's online Master's Program in Data Science.
Outside of the ODL, Sonia likes to run. In fact, you have probably seen her pounding the pavements around campus and throughout the South Bend area. Since moving to the US, she has taken up road-tripping, visiting craft breweries, and consuming Twizzlers.
